Shana Myara’s documentary profiles fat and resistant individuals in Canada: they use their creativity to resist a diet culture that aims to diminish marginalised bodies. The interviewees talk about their struggle, self-realisation and radicalisation, and how they have taken charge in a fatphobic, racist and heteronormative society. Their commitment is as inspiring and empowering as the film itself, which conveys in a very direct and uncompromising way: Body Positivity Is a Riot!
